Home/Products/Finished: The Solitaire Ring with a 0.39 CT Antique Diamond
Why you’ll love it
Are you searching for the perfect engagement ring? Look no further! On auction this week we have a very special ring. 🤍
Truly one-of-a-kind, this stunning solitaire ring has a charming antique diamond that was hand-cut between the years of 1870-1940. The antique charm that makes antique diamonds so coveted comes from the special cut, as well as from their color. No two diamonds are alike!
The modern look of our oh-so popular model The Solitaire Ring and the vintage-feel of the antique diamond harmonize beautifully. The minimalistic design of the ring enhances the diamond and really brings out that special sparkle that can only be found in an antique-cut diamond. Perfect for you who are looking for a unique engagement ring, while still wanting the design to be clean and minimal.
Our antique diamonds are hand picked by us and set in jewelry that is made from 100% recycled gold, making our antique-diamond jewelry a more ethical and environmentally-friendly choice 🤍
This ring was originally made for a customer that ended up going for another model right after receiving the ring. Therefore, this ring is in excellent condition and it's now ready to find a new home!
This ring looks beautiful worn alone, but unlike many traditional solitaire rings, it is also perfect for stacking.
Diamonds rank a 10 (highest) on Moh's Scale of Hardness. They are extremely hard and durable and will withstand daily wear for many years to come.
All natural diamonds are billions of years old, but if they were cut before 1940, they’re called antique.
Antique diamonds don’t have the perfect color, clarity or cut according to modern standards, and often come in odd carats. But you get an important 5th C - Charm! We love their warm tint and special glow.
An antique diamond is an exceptionally sustainable and durable choice of gemstone. An antique diamond does not lead to any new environmental stresses in the mining process nor in the other parts of the production chain. This stands in contrast to the natural diamond — as well as the synthetic diamond industry.
The cutting technique to create a round antique diamond was invented in the 1870’s, and is now known under the name Old European Cut. However, it was not until the Art Deco era in the 1920’s that diamonds became the most sought-after gemstone in Europe and the United States. During the 1940’s, the cutting technique developed and the diamonds began to become more and more similar to the modern brilliant cut. Those in-between cuts are commonly known as transitional cut diamonds.

A proxy can help you with this. Setting a proxy amount that is equal to your maximum bid ensures that even when you wait to make your last bid, someone else needs to bid HIGHER than your secret proxy to win – otherwise you will win automatically!
